One of the NSW Government’s major responses to the Murray Darling Basin Plan is the NSW Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism (SDLAM) program. One of the SDLAM projects is aimed at changing the Lock 8 and Lock 9 weir pool operating levels from a fixed elevation to a seasonally varied pattern. The project will provide broad environmental benefits when delivered together with a number of measures for improving fish passage including projects on Frenchmans Creek and the Carrs, Cappitts and Bunbaroo Creeks.
Fifteen50 worked with the NSW DPIE to prepare an Options Evaluation assessment which will ensure the justification for the project and its delivery framework are consistent with the NSW Gateway (Gate 1) process.
A $180 million water saving project in the lower reaches of the Murrumbidgee River, between Maude and Balranald. The property spans over 84,000 ha of the Lowbidgee floodplain, incorporating high value wetlands.
